Blackfriars Grill At Renaissance Deansgate, Manchester

Do not dine at this restaurant. Our party of 8, including chefs from Sweden, had a disappointing experience. Only 2 of us received decent food, while the rest of the dishes were poorly executed. The drinks were good, but the quality of the food was subpar. We would have been better off going to Taco Bell on the corner.

I recently had breakfast at this restaurant after staying the night at the hotel. It was an excellent experience and they were able to accommodate all of our needs. We had the option of choosing from a buffet or ordering a la carte, and we decided to go with the buffet. I started off with juice and coffee, and they were able to provide me with soy milk upon request. The staff were polite, incredibly efficient, and went above and beyond to assist us. The buffet included pastries, cereals, fruit, yogurt, a full English breakfast, and omelettes made to order. There were also a variety of breads and bagels to choose from. I opted for porridge made with soy milk, which was delicious but the portion was quite large. I also tried some items from the full English section, including a tasty sausage, one of the best black puddings I've ever had, and a perfectly runny fried egg (not the healthiest choice, but very good). The restaurant was clean, organized, and operated smoothly. I would definitely return to eat here again in the future.

Damn the steak and chips were good. Cooked to perfection (Mid-rare obviously) with chips on the side. Great chips too. Crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. We also started with calamari and chorizo, very nice both of them. I can also recommend the...Beef Mac and Cheese on the side. They’re very good portion sizes and it’s all fantastic food!

I visited the Renaissance hotel and dined at the Cast Iron Grill. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I was surprised to learn that the restaurant had recently undergone a 5-year renovation, costing millions of pounds.

Called in for a drink and to rest weary legs after a days shopping. Polite and professional staff. Trendy, comfortable decor.
