As we settled in, the restaurant was filled with an enticing aroma. The food was absolutely delightful.

The food is exceptional, with a wide variety of excellent choices on the menu. The chef took the time to greet us and expressed his gratitude for our visit. The drinks are also unique and quite enjoyable.

We were somewhat disappointed with our experience. The chicken sandwich was quite good, but the ribs were lacking. We arrived at 8:30 PM and it felt like the ribs had been left in a warming tray for far too long. They were dry and a bit tough. On a positive note, the sausage and fried okra were flavorful. Overall, we found the prices to be a bit high. The service was very friendly, but we had to wait a long time for our food.

The staff sets the mood and they were very friendly! They really care about getting things right. Our party of 4 enjoyed the shrimp and grits, which is always amazing, a chicken sandwich that got rave reviews and an off the menu special requested specifically by our party that the chef accommodated which was over the moon! The flourless chocolate cake was decadent and the caramel brownie dessert also got rave reviews. We’ll be back!

Typical Southern fare food was fine but nothing particularly special a bit heavy with very ample portions. We went on a busy night and the setting was good and we were seated immediately as per our open table reservation. However, we then waited for over an hour for our food, which was delivered after other tables who came in later than we did, were served. A 4.9 rating on OpenTable is utterly bewildering given quality and experience
