Ristorante Pizzeria S. Barbara

April 25th is a national holiday and good restaurants were completely booked, so as a barman at Mammola called a restaurant outside and there was place to eat. We ordered stoccofish, the local specialty. The service had a lot to improve but there were a lot of clients. Anti pasta was a stoccofish salad, which smelled a little bit fishy, it looked like they prepared it a few days ago and forgot to put it in the frig. The first dish was pasta with stoccofish in red sauce. And again there was this fishy taste of too long used socks. I will forget the hygiene of the table, the dirty wine glasses. The waiter needs a little bit of instruction. I hope they will not get a visit of the local food safety police. They won't stand it. The bill was a surprise. Later I was very surprised I had no problem with my stomach, nor I had diarrhea An experience to forget

I do not understand the negative reviews. My wife and I ate here two nights running, and loved the food each time. The bacalao was fresh as can be and very tasty; the p[asta were equally delicious. And we founde the service warm, friendly and efficient. It is very inexpensive for what you receive

Walking distance from excellent Scina B&B near Mammola. We had many meals there during our fortnight stay at the B&B and were never disappointed.

Una cucina decente. Personale cordiale. La terrazza potrebbe essere migliorata. Le sedie sono troppo tristi!
