Da Giovannino - Malgrate

I had dinner at Ristorante Da Giovannino as part of a large travel group and have to say that I was impressed with everything. The staff was very friendly. Our meal was set ahead of time, but we all thought that the food was very good. The view of the lake and mountains was amazing. If I ever in this area again I would definitely try Ristorante Da Giovannino again.

We came to this restaurant in which our guide had made an open reservation but the hostess wouldn’t seat us. She finally agreed to let us sit off to the side where the cobblestones were not level. As my husband sat down, his chair tipped back and he fell backward, the table fell on top of him, hurting his arms and wrists, but thankfully not his head. When the staff saw what happened, we demanded that they gave us an available table. They finally did but refused to apologize. Their excuse was that our waitress didn’t speak enough English to do so. The waitress brought us ice for the swelling. I asked them to at least compensate us with a free glass of wine, which they did. The food was okay but my husband could not enjoy the meal because he was in too much pain

Almost empty plates. Mine with one small beef and a little potato-something. Literally nothing more. My girlfriends plate with white rice and 4-5 pieces of small fried fish on top. 60€ .

Really well maintained and well maintained local, very good food and beautiful panoramic view. a very successful romantic lunch. Thank you very much to all the staff.
