Bidrage med feedbackQuiet cafe to take protection from heat and rain. The coffee was good. Juices for the children were freshly sown without ice. A small selection of pastries and a menu for the western and local fare is also available. Since the situation is not so recognizable by the main Jonker street, there is no need to wait for a table (at least for the two days I was there). Nice place to relax and during hours away (from heat and quantity).. Definitely recommended for all travellers (including family with children).
Good coffee and you must try the dish (forgot the name)
~It's a cozy cafe with a clothing shop and other shops before the entrance : It has this vintage deco thing going on. There was a really old wall phone and a record player etc. And the building opposite of it has beautiful green leafy vines decorating it, adding beauty to the cafe itself : I ordered the Rose Latte, but I've had better before. It was pretty diluted for me. But my friend liked the espresso she ordered :
This cafe is definitely one of the hidden gem in town. It just lay there quietly and silently without much celebrity announced. to find it also not an easy task..hehe, u had to find the Fomex building first and to ur surprise the location of the cafe fixed the name of it.... 'backlane it is '. Overall nice set up and clean area. No crowd at all in friday afternoon. good place for a tea break or novel break, after a hassle walk in this historical town..some even take pre- wedding picture in this unique cafe. Absolutely will come back again in near future to discover more of its beauty.
A great quiet café just at the start of Jonker Street to chill out or work. It's located at the back of the Fomec shop. If you're driving there's the Jonker Street Parking right across the street. The coffee was great and the food was solid. A little pricey but if you're looking to work out of a café this is the best one in Melaka so far.
