Bidrage med feedbackOne of the better ones Actually, this was the very first Gerry's Grill that we ate at about 15 years ago. It's also one of the better locations food was tasty good quality. We arrived on a Friday of Lent for a late lunch, which means no Lumpiang Shanghai or no fried chicken or no meat at all. It also meant no fried calamari because they ran out. But we did order 5 dishes all were delicious. 1. SINIGANG NA BONELESS BANGUS: as advertised, tasty. 2. LAING W/ TINAPA: I didn't personally try this, but my wife my sister in law enjoyed it no complaints. 3. VEGETABLE PANCIT BIHON: perfect not salty whatsoever. 4. BLUE MARLIN STEAK: real nice dish, cooked perfectly not dry at all. Good taste too. 5. INIHAW NA PUSIT: tender with a great marinade. The real key to Gerry's Grill is that for the most part, they are the basically the same. Although, this branch seems to better than others. Enjoy.
Food wise its really good! Authentic filipino food. But service wise, no good. Servers are not organize takes them forever to serve me my soda order. Came here yesterday ordered manggo with bagoong- sour manggo with shrimp paste on the side. chili cheese sticks- chili with some cheese inside that wraps with egg wraps mayonaise to dip on the side. spicy fried chicken- its the regular fried chicken thats a bit spicy. sinuglaw- grilled pork tangige fish that soaked with vinegar some spicies. Taste semilar to civiche but a little twist. Lechon kawali- deep fried pork Food is delicious!! I give 4 star to the food. If you want some really aunthentic filipino food then this is the spot. Servers don't really pay attention because I ordered coke for drinks I almost finish everything before I got my coke. I wish servers in philippines get tips to improved them start to love their jobs. Sad reality.
Gerry's grill does a good job of staying consistent within its different branches. The Philippine locations obviously have a wider selection of food compared to the one in california. The place can get packed and people tend to stay for a while since they also have beer and cocktails. The beer is decently priced.
Love Gerry's grill. During my stay, i think ate here 4x (multiple locations). Each visit was excellent. Pork sisig so delicious!! The adobo shreds are cooked to the right crisp. Lumpa shanghai is just the right amount without getting too full. The sinigang has just the right amount of sourness. The crispy pata...every crunch comes with the juicy fattiness of the pork. Also, the bangus ala pobre, very delicious as well. The only thing that i didn't care for was the kare kare. Ordered it twice and both times, way too much peanut butter. Overall, a great place to eat family style. Portions are huge. And don't forget to order the four seasons shake. So refreshing and delicious!
We've eaten at Gerry's before .... actually multiple times during our last trip to the Philippines from the US .... so coming here was expected since we enjoyed the food. We came here on a weekend night and late so we knew it would be busy. Luckily, we were seated quickly. However, trying to have someone take just our drink orders. It took a long time for someone to just take our drink orders....up to 10 minutes I think? It took another 10 for someone to come back to take our main order. Then roughly another 10-15 to get our food. The liempo was spot on with the jucinesss I look for that dish. However, the inihaw makes pusit was super chewy and not as tender as I wanted it to be. My husband's drink was empty 1/2 way into eating our meal and we tried to wave down a server multiple times. No luck. I'm not sure if it was where we were seated (next to the window behind a column) but we waited for a long time to even wave down a server just to ask for our check. I asked my husband if he wanted a second drink, however, at that point he was annoyed and said no bc it would've taken forever. Thank god I had my drink to share. Sorry, Gerry's...but not the best experience after having good ones previous to this. Not sure if we'd come back to this location!
