if not for the photos, i would have forgotten what i ordered the first time i dined in at felix (chicken wrapped in bacon, served with mashed potatoes). it was yummy dont get me wrong, but i was expecting more -- especially for the price. BUT BUT... i liked what my friend ordered instead, the sea bass! yummy! i also liked the ambiance, and the fact that its located at the more quiet side of greenbelt 5. good place to dine and have nice chit chat with friends.
Felix is reminiscent of your typical Vegas restaurant in terms of style but not size of course. High ceilings, plus interiors and my favorite, plants everywhere, ferns in plantboxes at the bar and of course, adorning each table. Plants really add a refreshing visual accent to an area and I really appreciate greenery in the city. I had the Dory with the sea urchin sauce and my companion had the Felix version of Haianese Chicken. Both were good although not exceptional. I had the walnut and fruit house salad to start and that was very good. I regret not ordering their Wagyu burger which is served topped with foie gras. Pricing is on the slightly high side. Figure about 1k per person with an appetizer, drinks and dessert. Presentation was top notch. I had previously heard some negative comments on the service at Felix but my own experience was the opposite. My water was never empty or half full. I would come back, just not very soon as I can think of a lot of other places with similar dishes for less.
