Bidrage med feedbackAfter stumbling upon this cafe in a backstreet, we decided to give it a try, assuming it would be empty. To our surprise, there was a table of 20 senior citizens enjoying their time. The cafe's large size makes it perfect for bigger groups, but we managed to find a quiet corner for ourselves. Despite the crowd, we were quickly served our $5 coffee and cake, complete with ice cream and cream, by the friendly staff. With a selection of 8 different cakes to choose from, the ones we tried were just as good as any store-bought options. The coffee was also delicious. Though it wasn't a gourmet experience, the value for the price was exceptional. We plan on returning to try their breakfast menu.
Went here for diwali brekkie. One of the few restaurants in NSW that have great vegetarian breakfast options. Good food with warm smiles. Quiet little location away from the chutzpah of the main levee. A gem in my opinion (but perhaps I'm just relieved to find good vegetarian food) From what I've read it maintains high standards in all types of food (veg and non veg).
If you're looking for a trendy cafe, this ain't it, but the staff were attentive without being clingy, and efficient, Food is simple, but fresh, tasty, filling and reasonably priced.
Luckily for us we did not read any reviews before trying this café. We had the coffee and cake special. The selection of cakes was unbelievable and in most cafes it would cost more for the cake than the total coffee and cake cost. Extremely friendly staff. Delicious cakes presented as you would expect in a 5 star restaurant. Good coffee.
My skim cappuccino had a big lump of stone-cold froth on top and the coffee underneath was just lukewarm. My raisin toast was cold, thin and dry. There was only our group of five in the whole restaurant and now I understand why. Service was good but coffee and food just ordinary.
