Aloi D - Maitland

We had take away from Aloi D tonight. Four different dishes plus one entree and steamed rice. Has to be the best quality Thai food we've had outside of Thailand. This will now be our regular for Thai food. Highly recommended.

Ok so I've now eaten from Aloi D around 12 times. This place is more like a takeaway but it is an absolute gem with regards to the quality of the food.I'm yet to have anything but a fantastic meal and the quality is consistently excellent. It puts the fancier Thai restaurants to shame and I can't think of anywhere that is producing better Thai food. It seems a bit wasted in Maitland!Hands down my favourite Thai.

Aloi D Thai is always a great meal option - yummy for lunch and dinner. The menu has a good range of dishes for all tastes.The food is fresh and tasty every time we visit. Meal portions are generous and packed with a wide variety of vegetables. While the eat-in dining experience isn't fancy the staff are always friendly and the seating area is clean. This is our favourite takeaway option.

I love Thai food so I'm a little bit picky - after all there's a lot of good restaurants out there. I also normally stick to the curries. Aloi D is a bit more like a takeaway, although I always eat in.The prices and service are excellent, the food is awesome. Having said that, I can't really comment on most of the menu because all I ever get is the basil chilli chicken stir fry. It is THAT good. Still, my workmates also love the other dishes. The $12 lunchtime special is an absolute bargain given how good it tastes.Definitely Maitland's best Thai and maybe even the Hunter area. A big call but justified time and again each time I eat here.Hot tip: I would mainline the basil chilli chicken if I could. You will want to as well.

Had a quick lunch there on a Saturday afternoon. We all really enjoyed the meals and thought they were very authentic dishes! Good value lunch specials too...
