Bidrage med feedbackHow to say a restaurant TRICATEL. Two products above grease and beef net the rest of the jelly. It's not worthy of a restaurant. A catastrophic end of service. Meat juice, frozen bread. A basket of unworthy bread see photo. Not frankly, it's better to have dinner somewhere else.
We visited Café Vauban on Sunday noon. A unique menu for the WE at 49€! In the entrance we chose a terrine of foie gras with its homemade pistachio bread. No pistachio in the bread, just industrial bread. After explaining the waitress, there was a big service the day before, so more bread. So no fresh bread of the day for a menu at 49€? What was not our surprise to see the mouthing between the entrance and the dish!! The waitress forgot. The dish, beef paved with girolles, polenta and seasonal vegetables. The dish comes, no girolle, but mushrooms from Paris, ah yes, big service the day before!! menu always at 49€... The dessert, nothing exceptional. But, the coffee gracefully offered!!! So as much to say, that I absolutely don't recommend, once, not two. Too bad we can't put 0 stars.
We had come in January 2020, the restaurant offered quality cuisine for an adequate price (about 30-35 euros). We had a great evening. We come back in October 2021, the kitchen became very banal, eatable but without any interest, served by streaked and overflowed servers, and the menu price went to 50 euros, which is absolutely not worth it. A sad evolution, I imagine that the Covid has passed by there and or the establishment has changed its owner. It is a pity and hoping that customer returns will allow us to return the benefits to the right level. In the meantime, to avoid!
We ate at the restaurant during our stay at Castel Maintenon. Correct, no more. Dear for quality.
Good reception, but approximate service, lacks rigor despite the kindness of the staff. Medium kitchen, quality ratio disappointing price!
