Bidrage med feedbackI had read that dogs were allowed in the conservatory at this restaurant, so I decided to bring my little dog, Lucas, with me. After looking at the menu, I ordered a tea and burger. When I asked if I could take Lucas with me to the restroom because I couldn't leave him alone in the conservatory, the woman said it was okay but that other customers might not like it. I explained that I couldn't leave him alone, but the woman seemed indifferent. I decided to leave instead, and as I was leaving, she simply said "okay, you go. Bye." Disappointed, I went to the garage, bought a sausage roll, used the restroom, and left.
We decided to stop by this restaurant while passing by and feeling hungry. The waitress took our order and informed us that there would be a significant wait for the food. She offered to cancel the order if we preferred, but we decided to wait. When the food arrived, it looked like it had been hastily thrown onto the plate and was swimming in canned tomato juice. I informed the waitress that I would not be eating it and opted to just pay for our drinks. To my surprise, I was charged £5 for a coffee and a can. I would recommend avoiding this place at all costs due to the poor quality of the food.
The perfect pitstop as you come off the M25. Love their American breakfast. Staff are super friendly. Look forward to coming back
My wife and I placed our food order, as luck would have it we sat at the table opposite the kitchen serving hatch. We watched a man in the kitchen with greying hair putting food in his mouth then reaching into a metal bowl with the same ungloved hand placing chips on plates then wiped under his nose and with the same hand, still no gloves, picked up sausages from under the serving counter and placed them on the plates. We knew then this was not the place where we wanted to eat, so cancelled our order and left.
While traveling to Margate and running late due to heavy traffic, I found myself in need of some food. I had completely forgotten about this restaurant until I arrived. Despite not being as unclean as I remembered from my last visit, I can't really complain about that. I ordered a full English breakfast with a cup of tea and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sausages, bacon, and baked beans. It may sound a bit like something out of a sitcom, but a good cooked breakfast requires care, attention, and quality ingredients, all of which were provided by the friendly staff at Mickey's. The service was quick in a clean environment with plenty of social distancing measures in place. Don't be deterred by the motorcycles out front - they are a sign of the restaurant's authenticity and quality. If you're passing through Kent and in need of a meal, I highly recommend setting your GPS for this spot instead of opting for chains like Costa, KFC, or prepackaged sandwiches.
