We went as a family with our toddler. The service was great. All the staff very attentive and helpful. The meat was delicious. Specially, the posta . Francesinha was nice, although the sauce was somewhat strong. The price was fair. Just pay attention to the starters that may make it more expensive. Overall, I recommend this place.

This lovely restaurant serves fantastic food for a great price along with a vast selection of beers that act as a fine accompaniment to the delicious Francesinha (quite literally the best I've tried in Porto). The restaurant staff are extremely friendly and done well to accommodate my dietary needs. I truly recommend Gauleses as a place to try tasty Portuguese food and for those of you who are search of real traditional plates

I visited this restaurant with a friend for dinner and had an amazing francesinha, definitely the best one I have tried in Portugal! The food and wine selection was brilliant and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. It’s very quick and easy to get to by car from Porto centre and would definitely come back here. If you are looking for high quality, local Portuguese food then I definitely recommend this restaurant.
