18th Century Cafe - Mahabalipuram

Well this place was the nearest from my college. But the food was really nice. Good hygiene, quick service and better prices is the USP of this place. Owner and staff is very friendly. Filter coffee of this place is awesome. I tried Burger, Dragon chicken, noodles, Pizza, various types of rice and so many other food items. everything was good except pizza.

Having lived in mahabalipuram for two years this was our go to place for good momos , pizza and Chinese food. Location : the place is not very hard to miss. It's about 5 mins drive from the A2B in mahabalipuram , in a village called poonjeri. It's just before confluence resorts. Ambience : the place has an outdoor seating as well as an indoor seating. I wouldn't recommend sitting outside in the late evenings or nights as there is the problem of mosquitoes. But if you are really lucky and the weather is on UR side then the outsides are really good . Inside seating has A/C and the ambience is pretty good for a restaurant on a highway. Food : I'd recommend the pizza there. It's really good. It's not fancy wood fired oven pizza but it tastes really good. Their hot chicken on toast starters are awesomeee. It's a must try. Their momos are really good too. Their specialty is the murukku sandwich. Slightly over priced though. Their burgers are ok. Their sandwiches are pretty good. It's a good place for a quick bite. Slightly expensive so have to choose carefully .

For us students of Great Lakes living in the middle of nowhere, this place comes the closest to a good restaurant. Their burgers are pretty good, esp. Chicken and cheese. The red sauce pasta is good, white pasta not so much. Dragon chicken a must have, momos far too pricey. Pizzas are good one day, average the next. All in all, I give them an extra half in 3.5 on 5 purely on sentimental value.

Both the food and the ambiance are wonderful. i loved the sandwich and desserts. specialty chicken momos and garlic bread. If you are looking out for a yummy eat out in and around mamallapuram , then this is the right spot. and also try the fried ice cream and tender coconut payasam a south indian dessert JUST AMAZING !!
