Comme Chez Soi - Magog

We decided to try this restaurant based on a recommendation from a friend, and we were not disappointed. Despite it being a bit noisy on a busy Saturday night, the food and service made it well worth it. Plus, being a BYOW restaurant made it very affordable. We highly recommend this place.

Whenever we dine at this restaurant, whether with friends or as a couple, we are always warmly welcomed by the friendly staff. The food is consistently outstanding and we always have a great time. This is one of our favorite restaurants in the Eastern Townships! A special thank you to Michel and Suzanne, as well as Chef Patrick. Please continue providing the excellent service that keeps us coming back to this popular restaurant.

This restaurant is a nice place, with service that is decent but not outstanding. The meal was okay, but not exceptional. I ordered the fillet mignon, which was a very good steak, but unfortunately, the peppercorn sauce was too overpowering, masking the quality of the meat. Similarly, the dish was buried under a sweet sauce that dominated the flavors. We had hoped for better quality, and it seems like we may have visited on an off night, as it has been a very good restaurant in the past.

Eating was good, but was not very hot. service friendly. no cocktails or weeping, they only bring their own weeping. details missing: brotrolle stein cold, cutlery not replaced. bee cake disappointing. lobster bisque rich, but too salty. service suspicious fast. obviously they want to turn tables. not what they are expecting to do.

Food was decent. The entree were absolutely amazing but our main meals had a few problems. We were of us ordered mussels, ordered salmon and the other the porc tenderloin. of the mussel orders were not de-bearded and when we...mentioned it to the waitress she said we just weren’t lucky.... however my spouse didn’t have any beards on any of the mussels he was eating but all of mine did which completely ruined the meal. And the porc tenderloin was under cooked. We also ordered a crème brûlée which wasn’t very good, the creamy Center was liquid. It is a very enjoyable restaurant but I wouldn’t go again since there seems to be restaurant management issues, the menu is fantastic but not all the meals will turn out right.
