What a difference make some weeks. I have been the tower hotel bistro pretty positiw recently for almost 35 years a patron! always thought the place really food well and moderately cheap! there with a cucumber. last weekend dressed and decided to have the big huh parmi! apparently they have a new menu. it seemed clear that the size of the larger chicken carving had shrunk, it costs more and salat is now an extra! ok, some cost have risen, but maybe this could be pointed to the patrons. the murderer was that I asked for chili flakes. no chili flakes, but I could pay extra $2.00 (on $31.00) for some fresh chili. make you sweat? decided to call her bluff and asked for tomaten ketchup for my chips at least, that didn't cost any extra! Do you think it was ok from the parmi but not as good as the one I had before, especially with the topping only half of the meat. does not want to be cursed, but perhaps, as it is a company audience, they do not recognize any masters. Maybe they don't care. many other restaurants around after 35 years looks like me (and my selection of friends and guests) will go somewhere else!
My first visit to this restaurant was very disappointing and I will not be returning. The layout was confusing and hard to navigate. We ordered schnitzel but received a thick porterhouse instead, along with a small portion of fries and a confusing salad. The staff were not very friendly. We have never been visited by the hotel, except when we had an older person with us who lives nearby. We will instead return to Windsor on Northeast Road where the service is exceptional, the food is fantastic, and the staff are friendly. We made a big mistake coming here and will not make that mistake again.
This charming historical pub is located in a fantastic spot and has undergone some lovely renovations. However, the menu could use some enhancements in order to reach its full potential.
We dined there tonight ordered Garfish for my wife and I had the porterhouse steak the fish was frozen, the steak was half fat served cold and wafer thin with no juice. No choice of sauce, staff seemed more interested in cleaning up than taking...care of customers, this used to be a nice dining experience with a salad bar and now would prefer to dine in sloppy Joe's diner than here
