The Burger - Madrid

OK, good value, but nothing special. Visited twice and each time burgers were quite cold and bun very dry. The waitress from Morocco is just wasted here. Not particularly recommended, but nice cheap place to sit outside and people watch!

We visited for lunch as my husband fancied their 'fiery ' burger and being a vegetarian they did at least offer the option of a veggie burger.....but what exactly was in it was impossible to tell. I dont like to waste food but my burger was totally inedible. Firstly the 'fiery ' burger ordered by my husband was a big disappointment.The fieriness was restricted to 3 jalopeno peppers served on the side. It was a bland burger and not at all satisfying. Both burgers were served on the cheapest of flimsy paper plates and were sandwiched between cheap poor quality , almost stale roles. In face bothj od us said it was hard to tell where the burger ended and the bread began.! Now, my vegetartian burger was suposedly created from lentils, but I have never tasted or smelled lentils like them- and I have had a few! The outside of the burger was only just warm, but the inside of it was almost uncooked. It was chewy, slimy and sticky. It was like biting into a fig. When the waitress wasnt walking around flicking her hair-or extensions around , and flashing her lashes at other customers I finally got her attention and showed her my veggie burger. Her response was ' 'Dont you like lentils ' '? I pointed out it wasnt cooked and she just shrugged and walked off, returning with the full bill. My husbands poor burger was 8euros 50 and my uncooked burger was 7euros 90. A total waste of money. Across the road from this joint there is a bar called The Royalty. They have a sign saying that THEY do the BEST burgers in town. I dont think this is a coincidence . Another point made by my husband....Have you ever walked passed a burger bar and not been able to smell the beef cooking?? At this place there are no food aromas to savour as you pass,

Great taste, reasonable price and all freshly cooked on site. A great place to stop that's not too fancy but very well presented.

We visited The Burger Bar twice during our recent stay, the food was great value, and really good quality. There's a great choice of different burgers on offer. Staff were friendly and the service was efficient.
