Bidrage med feedbackBeautiful ambiance loved the graffiti mural and other art pieces which add to the experience. All of the tapas we tried were both sleek in presentation and absolutely delicious! Must try in Madrid.
This new restaurant bar means business with a modern take on tapas which maintains its links with traditional Spanish fare while taking it just that step further into gastronomic delight. Can't wait to try the tasting menu.
New modern restaurant in Madrid. Limited quantity of food. Dishes are expensive and tiny. Not a good option if you have allergies or you are intolerant to dairy, eggs, ... Even with a discount, not worthy.
Several weeks ago we decided to visit the Mitte restaurant located on Calle de las Infantas number 6, in the heart of the Chueca neighborhood, since it was considered one of the 10 best restaurants in the neighborhood in 2016. We are going to tell you about our experience in a place in which is perceived from the first moment the attention to detail both in the decoration and in the kitchen. The place is divided into three parts, an entrance with a more informal bar, and two rooms, one located on the upper floor and the other on the lower floor. It is a different restaurant, with a decoration that leaves no one indifferent. They have an interesting selection of wines and a curious menu. To drink we decided on a bottle of Juan Gil, D.O. Jumilla, which is a choice that has never disappointed us. Accompanying the wine, they brought us some very delicious pastrami croquettes as an appetizer. Choosing food was a little more complicated for us since it has a disparate variety of dishes, all of them very appetizing. Finally, after thinking about it several times and having some advice, we decided on the following dishes: We start with a couple of croquettes for each one, the squid in its ink with cilantro aioli (of which two units come) and the chistorra with truffle accompanied by a mild mayonnaise, surprising, the latter come in individual units so We ordered two. It is worth highlighting its original presentation in cans. After the croquettes we continued with the low-temperature pickled chicken and curly onion salad, good in flavor and very fresh. In third place, they brought us what, without detracting from it, was for us the weakest dish, the sardines marinated with sherry caviar and tomato French toast. Despite its careful presentation and complex preparation (sherry caviar is a spherification of vinegar), in our opinion, although it was good, it is not at the level of the other dishes we tried. After the sardines we were able to enjoy what we were told was the star dish of the menu, the “Madrid stew gyozas with hummus, potato cream, carrot and textured broth”. Another carefully presented dish, the gyozas are filled with the meat from the stew and must be dipped in the different sauces so that their flavor in the mouth evokes that of the stew. We think it is an original dish that is very successful. To finish what for us was the best dish, or at least the one we liked the most, the revolconas potatoes in foam with chorizo powder and crispy torrezno, a delicious dish with a very soft and creamy texture. A 10. All the staff from our arrival were very friendly and helpful and the final price was more than correct. In conclusion, we consider that Mitte is an original restaurant where you can taste creative dishes full of new flavors and textures.
New discovery: One of the sites to note on the agenda. Good design of the premises, exquisite treatment with excellent cuisine at a moderate price. Menu different from what exists in the area with many surprises. Special mention of the revolconas potatoes, the cooked gyozas and the croquettes (it is recommended to try them all). For dessert, it is inevitable not to order the torrija! Site to repeat frequently. It is advisable to reserve in advance.
