Bidrage med feedbackMy twin brother Stephen and I were pub and bar hopping around this area of the city when we decided to drop into La Tia Cebolla ,been here many times over the years, always had a good time and so it proved on our latest visit. I love the look of this tavern, interior is traditional, a cool looking serving bar dominates the main room, pubby decor and furnishings, big screens to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this tavern both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling streets around this tavern. We ordered a vermut each, served in no time at all, we chilled out and soaked up the sun while we sipped our delicious vermut's. A big fan of this drink, for anyone not familiar with vermut, its a strong fortified wine infused with herbs and botanicals, a big hunk of ice and an olive, its just a totally delicious and refreshing drink indeed. This tavern is popular, on our visit all outside seating was occupied mostly by a huge group of young ladies celebrating Spains women winning the world cup and celebrating very loudly ,non stop chanting but what wierded me out about this was the fact that between this large group of women there was only one bottle of water ,bet the staff were pleased about that and even more frustrated about the amount of people who walked by their tavern as this group took up most every large table in the outside seating area, hope they let the wait staff keep the 20c change from the €1 they spent their. We really enjoyed our vermut's in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a great time. La Tia Cebolla is easy to locate along Calle De La Cruz,a street and area teeming with pubs, bars, cafe's and restaurants. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, open from 9am. A great tavern, well worth checking out if you're in the area.
La Tia Cebolla is a nice Taberna thats in a superb area of Madrid that offer a decent food and drinks range and was a fantastic taberna to have a Vermut. This taberna has a traditional Spanish feel and look with traditional decor and lot's of good seating area's both inside and on it's superb terrace area. We visited early in the afternoon and it was a really hot day.We sat outside and had an excellent Vermut with ice which were really refreshing and well priced. This is a superb taberna that's in a brilliant area of the city centre and is really easy to locate from Sol metro stop it's a short walk. (This is my first review of La Tia Cebolla). Opening Hours. Monday-Friday-09.00-Onwards. Saturday-Sunday-10.00-Onwards. Public Transport. Metro Stop. Sol metro stop.
This restaurant serves big portions. Maybe they are better for sharing. The food was quite tasty. However, I am a meatball expert and have eaten better. The service was friendly.
Comida muy mala, precios muy caros y trato distante y despectivo. Evitar entrar, cualquier bar por esa zona merece más la pena. Very bad food, very expensive prices and distant and derogatory treatment. Avoid entering, any bar in that area is worth more.
¡Buena comida y bebidas! ¡Abierto tarde! ¡Tarek alegró nuestra noche con un par de tragos!
