Fellina - Madrid

We arrived at 8:15 pm. The place was empty and we were given a table looking the wall. We requested a table looking at the window and a “kid” because he looked like one, who was there reluctantly said that only could changed us for 1 hour and half, because they had too many reservations. We accepted and moved to a side table. Another kid, quite unprepared and unprofessional arrived and took our drink order. Took quite a while to bring the cokes. He disappeared. Easily 10 minutes later another person who was at the empty bar when we came in came to the table to get our food order. The food nothing special and totally forgettable. The overall experience felt like we were receiving a favor from the staff. I don’t use my time to write opinion of places but this place was worth my time to give my opinion. We left 9:35 pm and the place was still empty. We will never comeback

Fantastic spaghetti al tartuffo with poached eggs, and delicious desert Fagottino alla Nutella. You will not regret it. A good place to visit after Museo del Prado 20 min walk

Fellina is a pleasant-looking restaurant. Lunch at Fellinas is nearly always busy, Its artichoke flowers (with melted peccorino and truffle is one of my favorite dish. Dinner alas, has a very different vibe. A young clientele. My companion and I are a couple of decades older and by far the oldest there. As a solo white wine enthusiast, (my companion prefers beer I order by the glass. I was served a glass, half-filled, to finish the bottle. Thinking the waiter would return with a new bottle, he carried on merrily with other customers. So I called him over to serve me a proper glass. Which he did. Then, our main dishes arrived, only to find my filet of fish raw (oven roasted omblina . He returned with my plate, roasted as it should, 10 minutes later, during which time my companion finished his dish, and I had finished my glass of wine. So I asked for a (proper refill to accompany my dish. We were hoping he would not bill that last wine glass for the inconvenience caused. Not being able to savour our meal as a twosome, is just not cool. Basic courtesy. We were billed for the lot. Not even an attempt to make up for the wait of 10 minutes. Nah...we expected a gesture.

Italiano acogedor, tiene varios salones uno de ellos da la sensación que está en el exterior. Comida elaborada y rica en sabor. Me gustó más la pasta trufada que la pizza barbacoa.

Tal y como dicen otras reseñas, ya no es lo que era. No es tanto por la comida, que en mi opinión está bien (aunque con el precio algo inflado) sino porque está muy masificado. Teníamos reserva a las 15:30 y muchas de las mesas de esa hora no estaban aún libres/preparadas y tuvimos que esperar más de 10 minutos en la puerta, con frío y con los camareros pasando de un lado a otro (como es normal). Ya sentados, las mesas están muy juntas. El único pero a la comida es la base de la tarta de queso, que es demasiado densa.
