Loon Wah - Madera

I must admit that when I walked into this quaint little restaurant last Thursday, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered chicken rice along with some chicken and a small can of Sprite for about $11. After a bit of a wait, I was absolutely amazed by the portion size! Even after feeling quite full, there was still a significant amount of food left over by the evening. The woman I encountered was very kind; she provided me with a takeaway box, a fortune cookie, and was even friendly enough to give me a bag when I asked. While the prices are slightly on the higher side, I definitely recommend this place for special occasions. I'm also considering returning in the future. I would rate this restaurant 4 stars!

I really love the chow mein and the egg rolls here. I've never liked egg rolls from anywhere else, but these are fantastic!

I ordered chicken with rice and a small can of Sprite for about $11. After a short wait, I was taken aback by the generous portion size. Even after I was full, I had quite a bit of food left over for later that evening. The woman who served me was very kind; she provided a box for my leftovers, offered a fortune cookie, and was nice enough to give me a bag when I asked for one. While the prices are a tad on the higher side, I would definitely recommend this place for special occasions. I've even considered returning! I give this restaurant a solid 4 stars!
