Bidrage med feedbackThis is a wonderful little spot to satisfy your barbecue cravings. It may not look fancy—it's tucked away at the back of a gas station convenience store—but the quality of the barbecue is impressive. I tried the ribs, which were perfectly seasoned and cooked just right: not overdone or undercooked, with just the right amount of tenderness. I also sampled the yams, which were delicious but a bit on the sweet side for my taste; and I generally enjoy sweet flavors. Unless you have a serious sweet tooth, I would recommend opting for something else. However, if you do like sweet dishes, you’ll really enjoy them. My only regret was only grabbing one small container of barbecue sauce; I should have taken two for my ribs since they don’t charge extra. I haven't tried anything else from the menu yet, but I will definitely be back!
This place is a hidden gem. I ordered the 2 meat plate: ribs and sliced brisket The brisket was juicy, seasoned to perfection. The ribs were smoked and also very good highly recommend taking home some of their house BBQ sauce as it pairs perfectly with the meats. Usually BBQ joints only have good sides or good meat, rarely both this place had it all. Seasoned green beans and Mac n cheese that tastes like a hint of jalapeno. Chef gave me peach cobbler on the house and, while hella sweet, was also really good crust stayed crisp after the drive home. This was meant to last a couple of meals but I couldn't stop eating. The tummy ache from over eating was well worth it. I will be back next time I'm in the area.
This is the best barbecue soul food I've found in Georgia, and I mean it. I've tried every soul food BBQ restaurant in Atlanta over the past 24 years, from local spots to franchises, and they've all been hit or miss. The other day, during a heavy thunderstorm, I saw a trailer and decided to check it out. I was staying at a hotel nearby and was really hungry. I ended up buying four plates, extra sides, two large Original Bud Ices, and a three-liter bottle of cola. Once back at my hotel room, I washed my hands, turned on the heater, switched on the cable TV, and began my feast. I was so thankful—especially since I had eaten somewhere else at midnight and didn’t wake up until 9 PM, spending five days eating turkey necks at Nam Dae Mun!
I visited this place on a whim quite some time ago because I was hungry and the enticing aroma drew me in. I remember thinking it was good, but I couldn't quite tell if it was just due to my hunger. I decided to bookmark the spot for a future visit. Fast forward to today, I stopped by and ordered the Chicken Mac and Cheese along with some baked beans. Let me tell you, I enjoyed every single bite! The flavors are incredible, and I have to give a big shoutout to this little hidden gem (technically a gas station). I’ll be telling everyone to stop by; it’s definitely a must-try spot. The next time I go in, I plan to try the peach cobbler since I noticed many people ordering it.
After all the talk I've heard about this place I finally decided to stop in for some bbq.I ordered a beef sausage sandwich and peach cobbler.I got my food in a very timely manner and the staff was GREAT. When I got home and opened my plate all I had was 2 I assume beef sausages on hot dog buns.I can't remember when a sandwich became a hot dog. Im saddened because all the things I've heard I had to be the one to be disappointed. Maybe I'll try again in the near future
