I loved the sample of entries.......the cocktail....... a little less the tajine (but good tt) and mellow with excellent shocko! we traveled for 220 euros to 5...... a real trip with green tea to mint....TB
In the new street, full of restaurants, we are in front of the second breath, with its large arched opening. the interior is modern and all in length, with scene and screen in a corner. we can place ourselves where we seem, the server, of a certain age, will remain faithful to our first impression: amateur in the good sense of the word and discreet, quiet, listening and understanding all our requests. a bar comes to embellish the interior, with a young man -less clear on his way of being - performing cocktails and giving a hand in the kitchen. 3 choice menus that are actually more or less broad choices from the map. plus a menu of the day at 23€. I choose the intermediary at 31€ and start with a chorba (Algerian soupe). small amount of which they were probably aware because I have a brig in addition, absolutely magnificent. To beef, not too fat, it is excellent.What soup I am not a specialist but I have taken pleasure. a homemade bread with black sesame seeds, very correct, is served at table. My sweet beef tajine seems to me cheek at first but it's nothing. a lot of fruit, three big beef balls (the waiter warns of any change or adjustment, here it was to tell me that the whole beef meat would take more time to be prepared, so I was able to opt for beef balls) the very light smoulch with a few thin almonds makes this dish delicious, quite simple but very good. In dessert beautiful originality with cream burnt with orange blossom, there also very aerial! note the friendly menu of cocktails, alcoholic or not, and the few wines not so expensive. no concert tonight because in summer it is only broadcasts on screens (not enough customers I think, they are right) so we didn't have a too long service. However, arrived at 8pm (the first ones) we went out at 10:30pm. It's the price for dishes made minute, probably by one person in the kitchen. But she knows her job.We appreciate: the oriental and jazz mix, successful!on grimace: in front of the barman's personality, very smiling and friendly with the customers but less pleasant or more mocking when it comes to exchange with the server. be discreet, or keep his remarks (to his colleague, but also to the customers) for him. We place ourselves: given the organization of the room, no table seems unpleasant. We pay: a hundred euros to 2 for 2 menus, cocktails (between 6 and 9€), wine (€16.5 the pot of st chinian) and tea the mint (9€ at will), correct even if you find better when you go south (for example). But we are in lyon, in the Presqu'ile...We digest: well thanks to the efforts of the cook and mint tea.
A service and fine dishes! very good entries (humous, eggplant purée, ).a salted chicken tajine also excellent! the beef coucous was also very good ! very good desserts also; I recommend for chocolate lovers the cream of chocolate
It is by strolling that we fell on this restaurant with refined and sober decoration, on a jazz background; and what restaurant! The atmosphere is calm and tamized, the very friendly boss and the proposed kitchen is of North Africa influence, but revisited: forget the big tajine dish of the families, place to the refinement of a tasteful and well presented kitchen. we really enjoyed ourselves, and for a modest price since we paid 23€ for an entry-plat-dessert menu and coming out of the restaurant full belly. a savoir, the restaurant also offers jazz concerts during certain periods of the year. We recommend it warmly!
The frame is nice but tajine not tasteful enough....music nice, I don't think I'm going back.
