Le Dome - Lyon

The worst quality coffee,very bad chocolate drink. They brought coffee without sugar. I asked for water, which I never received. Avoid the place. They believe that by having very high prices it makes them a respectful shop.

We anticipated a light late-night supper in our hotel bar, but the evening turned into an architectural and culinary event. A generous planche with terrific olives and a wasabi crunch mix accompanied our drinks. The pate in pastry was outstanding, and the Caesar salad generous with tender chicken and white anchovies. The space, under the cupola, was an architectural and historical marvel. Service conveyed a reverence for the venue. An unexpectedly amazing experience.

Overpriced and underwhelming. The bar is a n the old hotel dieu, so it has beautiful tall ceilings. We went because it was voted the best bar in the world by some magazine. I have never paid 21 euro for cocktail, but decided to try one of their marquee drinks. It arrived in regular glass, half filled with ice. No interesting taste. We also ordered tea (ok, but overpriced) and one pastry (forgettable but overpriced). Don't know if it is was a pastry or the drink, but soon after the bar I developed stomach problems and diarrhea.

We arrived early and in quite a hurry: the service was super fast, super pleasant and above all, it was super good! The cantal risotto served with salmon was divine!!! And the same goes for the roasted St Nectaire! We recommend this restaurant
