Bidrage med feedbackWe leaned that a Bouchon is a special restaurant where they serve traditional Lyon specialties. The dishes in this restaurant were indeed interesting, rich, and not your typical fare. I wasn’t thrilled with the choices, but overall the food was good and fresh. I likely wouldn’t go again only because it’s not my style of eating, but the people were friendly, the restaurant packed, and if you want to be adventurous and try something different, then this is your spot!
We brought some visitors here, looking for a typical Lyonnais bouchon away from the touristy old part of town. Unfortunately the restaurant had allowed a large and extremely noisy group of Italians to reserve most of the table space in the restaurant. The noise, which I measured at 85 dB, was so painfully loud that conversing with our friends was impossible. Really, the restaurant should have made this a private event and not allowed other guests to book tables. As for the food, it was just mediocre, nothing special. I will never go here again.
I went with two colleagues and we enjoyed the typical Lyon style Bouchon, with straightforward food that is delicious and typical. We started with three different salad, simple by tasty, and then for main course I enjoyed the andouillette, typical to Lyon, made of the cheapest parts of the cow with miraculous results. Then cheese, desert and coffee, all the tune of 41 Euro, (with more than a liter of wine). We found the price reasonable and the atmosphere pleasant. A good place.
Bad service from the waiter. Yesterday we attended the restaurant and he was rude. I don’t recommend this french restaurant.
The best of 5 traditional Lyonnais restaurants on our recent visiit along with Le Musee (I reviewed the others). Warm welcoming atmosphere and cozy setting one expects from a French bistrot bouchon. Food was excellent best terrine I had. Excellent all around only mild disappontment is that none of 'les filles ' made an appearance the midweek night we were there
