cafe tapas thomas - Lyon

This is one of the Thomas restaurants that are clustered together in the presqu 'ile part of Lyon. I 've been to the Bouchon version and this particular one is focused on small plates to share. We were outside on the deck and I 'm not sure if...it was only because we were in between restaurants, but they allowed us to also order off the Bouchon menu. So we had a couple of tapas that included the slightly rubbery octopus and the delicious prawns along with the raw duck that was delicious. We also ordered two salads from the Bouchon, the salade du marches that was delicious and came with roasted eggplant and veggies along with the salade lyonnaise that was good but much heavier. I took away one star because the server never let us know that the kitchen was about to close we only found out when we hailed him down.

We were cold and tired so we stopped at café Thomas to get some warm up and food. We already new the gastronomic restaurant Thomas which is great. The tapas are delicious, we tasted guacamole, very thin slices of fish with lemon, octopuss, grilled shrimps...with garlic, chicken... and as a dessert the creme brulée and profiterolles. There 's a lot of choice and it 's very difficult to make a decision. We had some drinks : beers, a very nice glass of Viognier (white wine , spritz and virgin mojito. The waiters are very professional and nice. Just go and enjoy :

Tapas bar located in a small alley with very little passage, very pleasant! the tapas are varied and good (a small flat for the hot cheese plate). otherwise report reasonable price quality (mini burger excellent).! I also recommend the lost bread and its little ice ball, a slaughter!!! I therefore recommend this place for a moment between friends or couples! (opening at 18:30 and more room on the terrace at 7pm so don't get too late)

Friendly bar with smiling, welcoming staff. I advise not to arrive too late because the place is rather acute. brief, ideal place to spend a nice time with friends around good tapas.

Monday or Saturday, doesn't matter, you'll always find a good atmosphere in Café thomas for some drinks and tapas.The selection of chef tapas is awesome, there is a lot of variety: cold, hot, fish, meat. However, some of the dishes are not the best quality in the world but still it's everything pretty good! Will repeat for sure
