Bidrage med feedbackThe food was decent, average portion sizes and fairly tasty. A touch on the pricy side to be honest. The service however was excellent. Quickly seated, no time wasted taking orders. Food came out quick and hot. An overall excellent dining experience earning this restaurant a 4/5.
The foods are nice. But the place a bit squishy. The staffs are friendly and helpful. We tried the noodle and rice. They are good. Should try the other next time.
Regularly go here. Never disappoints. It 's the same distinctive freshness every time, that distinguishes it from so many ordinary restaurants. For example, I compare the Singapore Noodles between here and elsewhere. At Foo Win, it tastes just as it should: that it just came out hot and smoky from a wok that 's been seasoned through cooking a thousand dishes, and again that freshness.<br/ <br/ The black bean combination is another winner. The sauce is just the right intensity, without the stale excess saltiness you find in too many places. And here 's another example of a great way to test an Asian restaurant: try a prawn. These are King Prawns. It 's all in the texture (resilient to the bite, not just chewy and 'old ' , with a clean taste freshness again.<br/ <br/ I could go on, but you get the message. I don 't understand some of the negative reviews I see. Yes, occasionally the service is slow when they 're busy, but hey, live a little (longer . The people are delightful; we 've been exchanging pleasantries with the owner for literally decades now.<br/ <br/ Go there; it 's the place we recommend to friends and family.
We love this restaurant, as it's very local and the food is always very tasty. My favourite is the salt and pepper chilli tofu, the salt and pepper chilli chicken is also very good and the price is very reasonable. Service always very friendly. Can't fault.
Went last night and even though it was a Tuesday, it was quite busy. We ordered chicken and sweet corn soup and fried wantons for entrée which came out quick. For mains we ordered the Singapore chicken curry, chilli king prawn and hokkien mee. The chicken curry was average, sauce tasted store bought. The hokkien mee was definitely the real winner. The noodles were nicely cooked (not sloppy) and there was loads of meat and veggie inside the yummy sauce. Definitely would order that again. The chilli king prawn was nice, could've been spicier, but was a generous serve. Quite pricey but if all the dishes were at the hokkien mee standard, we would come back for more and more.
