Bidrage med feedbackThis place is new in town and I finally got around to stopping in. It's a tiny little shop that's easy to walk by but I'm happy I finally went in. For starters, the woman at the counter, who I think is one of the owners or at least makes the pastries, was incredibly sweet. I got the Dominican cake with caramel and some kind of coconut square. Both were delicious! I think my favorite was the coconut. If you like coconut and something decadently sweet, this is just theticket. The caramel cake was also good, I liked the meringue topping. Next time I go in I'm definitely going to try one of the cheesecakes, they looked delicious! The desserts aren't as decadent as D'Amici's down the street and right nowthere's only a small selection but the prices are way more reasonable. It was $4.50 for both of those desserts which would have cost at least that much for one at D'Amici's. If you'd like to try something new, support a local business, andstill have change in your pocket, I'd definitely recommend checking this place out.
I went there and bought 3 cupcakes two were the same kind and one was a different kind. When I brought them home my children were disgusted and I just thought it?s kids being kids but no all 3 of those cupcakes where absolutely disgusting!! My mother has been baking cakes and things my whole life and I?ve never tasted such a nasty frosting and cake in my life boxed cakes are better then theirs are!! Very disappointed especially for $2.50 a cupcake!!
B Sweets is a slice of heaven, hidden in Lynn. It?s tucked away on Munroe street and you wouldn?t know it was there until you walk in. Do yourself, your taste buds and your stomach a favor and stop in. The owner, Amalia, is one of the NICEST people you will ever meet and she takes TRUE pride in her work. She regularly has a selection of goodies with Dominican flair, traditional style. And cupcakes, cake pops etc in varying flavors. There?s also smoothies!!! The menurecently expanded more to include sandwiches and salads. Sandwiches are made fresh to order. If this amazingness wasn?t enough, she does custom cake orders etc for parties. Be sure to give it a try. While you?re there, be sure to sign upfor their text updates when things are on sale or on special! as for the person who reviewed the cupcakes. Ma?am.... you compared homemade Dominican food to box cake. That?s your problem. Dominican cake has a different texture andlayer(s of fruit. The frosting is also different. It?s like a meringue. For those who aren?t familiar with it, yes, the taste and texture seem ?off.? But it?s not the same type of flavors as a cake from a non Spanish bakery. :
Delicious sandwiches and word around town is that their specialty cakes are very good too. The owner, Amalia, is always very nice and courteous as well!
So friendly every time. Their empanadas are a great price and they?re 100% delicious. I want to try their smoothies and their sandwiches soon. The owner said they?ll have patio seating during the summer so I?m coming back for that when the weather gets warm.
