This is a great spot for a late dinner with friends after a day at Willoughby Lake. Keep in mind that in this area, a late dinner is around 8 PM. We all opted for fried haddock, homemade fries, and baskets of maple cornbread, which were just what we needed after our time on the lake. The portions were generous, though the fish could have been a touch less battered and fried. However, the fries were spot on! It would have been nice to have a small side of coleslaw included, rather than having to upgrade to a platter; coleslaw really should be a standard accompaniment with fried seafood. Our waitress was friendly and engaging, and the service was quick and attentive. I did notice that another waitress casually tossed leftover drinks and ice from our table over the deck, which might not sit well with everyone. As a local from Northeast Kingdom who comes back to visit, it reminds me that while some things change, many remain the same. I would definitely return for more hearty meals the next time I'm in the area.
