Bidrage med feedbackWe came on a hot Saturday afternoon and they were nearly sold out of the moon pies but we were able to grab what was left. They have a lot of merchandise such as Chapstick, bumper stickers, T-shirts etc. all the Merchandise has moon pie related signage on it. The store was well lit and had a country feel to it. I tried the strawberry vanilla mint chocolate chocolate lemon and banana moon pies. The chocolate and the mint chocolate kind of remind me of a s'mores a little bit. But I actually like the banana the most. They have a lot of other candy items and beverages. Customer service was basic. The store is in a shared shopping area with other places and is right next to the Jack Daniels distillery where you can walk to it. Location is prime! Hope you enjoy.
Really fun store. Everything moon pie including shirts, magnets and chopsticks. It was cool getting to mix the flavors. Definitely a must do when in the area!!
Very-cool little store paying homage to the MoonPie. My fiancee and I stopped by here while in Lynchburg and got a few things. It was also her first time trying a MoonPie and she loved it. The shop owner was a very-sweet elderly lady. We ended up by some merchandise and sodas as well. It was really filled with a lot of MoonPie stuff. I would definitely recommend all to stop by and see it whether you like MoonPie or not. We will definitely be back when we are in TN again!
I love the one that is cheating cheery but I'm sure you will always be a fun pie lover. While visiting the distillery I ran into a nice lady just off the tour that told me about the store. Shyness was not her persona instead I discovered she was a nice piece of pie herself. Spicy and juicy of course with plenty of cream on top. Toppings I discovered were her specialty with a all the pies . Little did I know at the time , but turned out she was the Queen at the distillery. Boy did she know a lot about the Moon pie business. She was the best advertising MoonPie General could ever have. Fact is when I get back to Lynchburg I am looking for the Queen and we are going to eat pies together.
MY LITTLE COOKIE MONSTER Of course I 'm referring to my girlfriend, not the iconic fuzzy blue Sesame Street character (who by now is surely obese/in a diabetic coma/dead). Folks, she loves these marshmallow sandwich snacks, and upon seeing an entire *store* dedicated to their existence in downtown Lynchburg Tennessee, a stop was all but absolutely necessary. Nichole C tried to act low-key obsessed about it, though here 's what I heard OMG MOON PIES ERIC STOP THE CAR NOW . I 'm a dutiful boyfriend/driver, so I did as instructed. It was plainly evident that this was a ma-and-pa type of store, from the old woman reading a book at the register to the general state of tidiness. There was a short video playing the history of the dude who invented Moon Pies in 1917, explaining why he chose to dip cookies in marshmallow fluff.....because sugar. The variety included minis, singles, double, and dinner plate-sized Moon Pies in 5 or 6 flavors (including vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, coconut, banana, and orange). The quaint little store had a ton of older candy to choose from; I loved the refrigerator filled with things like timeless orange grape Nehi. Definitely stop in before or after your tour of the Jack Daniels Distillery. You 'll need a sweet treat like a classic Moon Pie to wash down all that 70 proof whiskey!
