Bidrage med feedbackThe brisket here is the best I've ever had! I absolutely love the fries, and the service is quick. It is a bit on the expensive side, but this town really needed a restaurant like this.
Last Saturday, we had an unforgettable experience at Mission BBQ in Lynchburg that I can't fully describe. My father, a WWII veteran, was treated like royalty from the moment he walked in until he left. We took part in honoring our country during the National Anthem at noon, enjoyed a delicious meal, and were deeply touched by how respectfully the staff and other diners honored my father and his service. Thank you to the staff for not only serving amazing food for people of all ages but also for warming the hearts of so many! Mission BBQ is outstanding!!!!!
Having come from an area where BBQ is taken very seriously, it’s refreshing to find genuinely good BBQ here, rivaling even CountrySmoak. The smoked jalapeño sausage was some of the finest I've ever tasted, and the pulled pork sandwich is a must-try. The variety of sauces was surprising, and I appreciated the inclusion of bottled classics. The portion sizes for both the sides and the meat were just right, and the prices were reasonable. It’s comparably priced to CountrySmoak, which makes sense given the quality of food. Paying $15 for my meal felt appropriate for the amount of delicious food I received. Leaving satisfied is crucial in this line of work. To address Scott Grant and Jeffery Smith: Scott seems to have misrepresented a few points and overlooked that sales tax applies to food. The side portions were definitely larger than 4 oz. In fact, CountrySmoak serves 4 oz sides, which are similarly priced to those at Mission, but Mission offers larger portions (see images). I even checked the publicly available nutritional information, which indicates that the sides are around 6.5 to 7 oz. This BBQ is superior to most in Virginia, especially considering how hard it is to find good BBQ this far north. Some people, like Jeffery, who have a bias toward local spots like Blue Ridge BBQ, struggle to judge restaurants like this one fairly. Personally, I was never impressed by Blue Ridge BBQ; I found it mediocre at best. TL Mission is among the best BBQ places in town, second only to CountrySmoak. It’s well-priced with generous portions of tasty food. It’s definitely a place I will be revisiting and highly recommend that you try!
