Jess's Lunch Box - Luray

Our first time a few days ago was very pleasant. Courious and friendly staff with a willingness to serve promptly. Our food was delicious and the menu has plenty of variety. Great sweet tea!

We stopped by this place out of time constraints without much expectation, but the food really surprised us! We ended up going again the next day. The price is also very good. Highly recommended.

Delicious food! We got it to go and took it to the Hawksbill Greenway. They made sure we had everything we needed (forks, napkins, etc. . Great portions and so tasty!

Visiting from Pennsylvania! Stopped today for lunch on our way back from Luray Caverns. Food and service was great! Very friendly staff! Went to leave and realized I had locked the keys in the van! Went back in to ask who we should call. Right away calls were being placed to get us help. When no one answered, staff asked a police officer to help us, which he happily agreed to. Thank you all so much! Much appreciated!

Not too many places to eat in and around Luray after visiting the caverns. This place had pretty high reviews so my group decided to give it a shot. First thought is that this is less a bar and grill and more of a diner , but that 's no big deal. The AC was cranking so that was nice. The staff was pretty friendly, although our server did seem a bit short and annoyed when we asked for refills on tea for whatever reason. They only have sodas in cans but they have some refillable drinks like the sweet tea, which was pretty good. We had some onion rings, mozzarella sticks and cheese fries to start. Everything was perfectly fried and tasted good. Nothing extraordinary, but good. The cheese fries were just fries with a slice of semi melted American cheese on top. I decided to try the Cindy burger, which had peanut butter and jelly on it. Sounds weird but it actually kinda works and was pretty good. The grilled cheese was the bare minimum...just some toast and what seemed like one slice of American cheese. The club sandwich was good and my son enjoyed his sliders. Overall it wasn 't a bad experience, but the 4.7 star reviews were a little misleading. For what and where it was, considering the availability of other options maybe that 's accurate but generally speaking I think 3 stars was more appropriate.
