Brookside - Luray

My partner and I decided to elope after 7 years together and spent the night at cabin #9. The lady on the phone was fantastic, setting us up with late entry and ensuring all the details were taken care of. We arrived to find a light on, a stoked fireplace, and a huge, relaxing jacuzzi tub. The cabin was beautifully decorated, clean, and even had little hearts carved in the woodwork. It was clear that a lot of thought and detail had gone into the place, making it both adorable and beautiful. The owners genuinely care about their guests and their property, as evidenced by the $250 fine for smoking indoors. The interior and exterior were immaculately maintained, with a beautiful brook running behind and seasonal decorations already up for Christmas. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay magical and wonderful. We were truly impressed and will definitely be returning as repeat customers. Thank you to everyone for such a fantastic experience!

The food was fresh, quick, and tasty. The staff were friendly and inviting. I highly recommend this place. My only suggestion would be to add more protein choices to the lunch buffet besides just fried chicken. The sides and salad bar were very appetizing.

It's a shabby little place with seriously underwhelming food. Folks were certainly nice enough but it's not what I'm looking for for breakfast/brunch. If you want simple fare for a relatively cheap price, go ahead. But I think there are better options afew miles away.

Was one of my favorite places to go when up near the mountains. The staff was kind to us yet I didn?t want breakfast so I waited for lunch. I sat for almost an hour for lunch buffet to come out and it was supposed to come out at 11. But due to all theorders the staff wasn?t able to get the lunch buffet out on time. Lunch buffet used to be cheaper it?s now $18 a person and itmade sense no one wanted the buffet and rather order off the menu something for $8 $9 each. The food is good don?t get me wrongbut if you want the buffet come little after 11 and the buffet will be ready. With rising costs I get the prices. Just littledisappointed at this visit. And reading some of the reviews I am alittle taken back at the responses from the experience. Takeit as a way to better things not everyone is trying to hurt a business.

I recently had lunch at this restaurant and it was fantastic! I enjoyed a seafood platter, hamburger steak, shrimp platter, and salad bar. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and entertaining. We had a great time laughing and taking a fun break during our travels. I highly recommend this restaurant!
