Itadakizen Tea Room - Ludlow

A jewel. Beautiful food, presented with love. Best place I've eaten in not just Ludlow but the whole of Shropshire. Plus it's inexpensive and vegan. Perfect.

The menu was somewhat limited—though I understand this is temporary due to the COVID situation—but everything was beautifully presented. We tried the spicy tofu don, the sushi set, and the bibimbap, all of which were delightful. The bibimbap was a unique Japanese twist on a Korean dish, and it was absolutely delicious; the eggplants were simply incredible! This is home-cooked Japanese cuisine at its finest, and the prices were very reasonable too. I can't wait to return, especially when I'm back in the area in the new year!

I only caught the end of the performance, but a beautiful woman came out and offered me the last of what she had for free. It was fantastic!

In recent years, we have dined at the sister restaurant in Shrewsbury, and this was our first visit to the Ludlow location. Our experience was excellent; the menu is small, which is always a good sign. Unlike places with extensive offerings, everything here is fresh and homemade. We especially loved the vegan sushi. We highly recommend this restaurant if you find yourself in Ludlow.
