Bidrage med feedbackWe visited ludington for the day and decided on this place. I give him a 3 because we were there for a long time and how much everything was. we felt too long there. the food took forever and there was almost no one in the restaurant. we ordered cheese curds (not shown) and they had tasted well, but their friteier oil needs to change or so. If we come back to ludington, we probably see another place. the spinatsalat was good!
Rainday, on the street, sitting in the window with delicious suppe and cash! I can't get better. waitstaff wonderfully received. a great place for our only day here.
Service was great with friendly staff. Food was excellent. Loved the pecan crusted perch and Michigan cherry salad highly recommend both!
Ate at Jamesport after getting off the ferry. Checked in, got a buzzer and sat outside to wait for our table. Would have liked to have sat at the bar while we waited, but it was full. I think we were quoted a 15-20 min wait, and it only took about 15 to get seated. Once we sat down, everything went really quickly. Drinks came out fast, followed quickly by the soup and then our meals. My wife had the fish and chips which was very good. It was light and tasty made with a great beer batter. My Rueben was closer to average. Flavor wasn't bad, it's just that I prefer corned beef that is shredded, not deli type sliced and the meat was a little dry. We both ordered soups, I had the soup of the day (which was cream of mushroom) and my wife had the Cheese Ale. We liked them both very much. Even though food came out quickly, we had a really rough time getting refills on our drinks. Pretty much empty for most of our meal, even though we asked for refills a couple of times. Would have liked a friendlier waitress or at least a smile. Not sure if she was unfriendly.... More like she was shy. Restaurant (at least indoors) is pretty loud. It's a cool building, but the hardwood floors and high ceilings make for a lot of echo. Maybe ask for something outdoors if looking for something more intimate. Overall, enjoyed our meal. Would highly recommend any fish with their beer batter. Soups were good too.
Pretty popular place for a monday night in the summer. One of the nicer views you can get dining in Ludington. It's not at the water, but you can get a distanced view of it from their back patio. There was a 30 minute wait but I passed time in their Biergarten which featured a sand pit for life sized beer pong and large sized Jenga at the table. As far as food goes: house salad just as pictured spicy cheese curds were actually spicy. They had a kick that was definitely above midwestern spicy. I enjoyed them. fish chips best I've had. The fish was delicate, soft fresh. The thick tartar sauce was great. The fries were greasy, but good too. The service was pleasant. Would come here again.
