Nice place, good food but excessively expensive.. service not exactly perfect... but not to the demerit of the waiters... anyway I repeat, good food but too expensive, there is better... never again

Pleasant location, room with slightly retro but well-kept furnishings. I went for lunch with my parents on a Sunday, with a reservation at 1pm, to avoid the chaos of the typical Sunday lunch rush hour. The place was half empty, we were welcomed by the friendly and attentive staff. We ask that the glasses be replaced as two are visibly dirty and one has a crack as long as a finger. We order a tasting of appetizers, which arrive quickly and all together: 4 hot ones (Mediterranean-style calamari, prawns breaded in panko, seared tuna, mussels au gratin) arrived very cold, without infamy and without praise and a couple of cold ones (including a salad of octopus where there were maybe 5 pieces of octopus and a disproportionate quantity of potatoes and bruschetta, surprisingly very good, especially those with escarole). We continued lunch with a risotto alla pescatora, I think the worst I've ever eaten in my life, absolutely tasteless and with rice grains of a very strange consistency, floury, but hard. We ended the meal hoping to make up for it with dessert, but that wasn't the case: a single, slightly spectacular dish, with a small bowl of melted chocolate surrounded by 2 small cannoli, 2 small puff pastries and two small squares of caprese (cost 20 euros). A bottle of white wine suggested by the hostess, pleasant. All for the modest sum of 240 Euros. At the end of the meal, the owner's wife came to the table in a clumsy attempt to apologize, perhaps, for the dirty dishes (despite the 3 euro cover charge per person) and the cold appetizers, attributing these problems to the fact that we had arrived at 1.00 pm, when the lively service at their restaurant starts around 2.00-2.30pm... Sorry to have to leave a negative review, but we have to be honest: the owners don't have the faintest idea of what catering is and how to manage a restaurant !
