China Town - Lucedale

I've been a regular at this restaurant for several years, always opting for the buffet. However, tonight I decided to try something different and ordered Pork Egg Foo Young. What I found was a hidden gem in Lucedale—the chef truly is a master at his craft. It was, without a doubt, the best I've ever had. The sauce was a robust blend of spices, featuring ginger, garlic, and perhaps a few secret ingredients. It had a dark, rich, and fresh flavor. The Foo Young consisted of three sizable patties—more than enough for two very hungry diners or three with moderate appetites—packed with vegetables and generous chunks of delicious pork, all beautifully bound by a well-seasoned egg mixture. From now on, I’ll be exploring the full menu. The buffet is good, don't get me wrong, but I’m excited for a more adventurous culinary experience from this talented chef.

I recently enjoyed a takeout lunch that was both satisfying and affordable. Priced between $10 and $20 per person, it was a great deal. I highly recommend the Fried Shrimp, which was deliciously crispy and packed with flavor. The 17 Fried Shrimp portion was generous and perfect for sharing or for a hefty meal. Don’t miss out on the Fried Egg Roll, either; it was a fantastic accompaniment to the meal. Overall, a delightful experience that I would definitely recommend!
