Excellent and in good location the best ravioli I have ever eaten and all the courses very great staff very cheap

I asked a local friend, where we could have a nice italian dinner, at a place where the locals would go and not some touristic trap. He recommended Da Giulio so we went. The food was very good, typical of the region, the service was...friendly and there was a big variety. I didn't really like the steak we got, but the rest of the plates, salads, pasta etc, were very good. The ambiance was a bit old but it was also off season and the restaurant was practically empty. Maybe that's why it felt like that.

Typical trattoria Lucchese, located for the summer period inside the walls for a suggestive location. the proposals embrace the tradition for a menu based on a poor cuisine but not for this of little quality. we ate the lacquer tortelli and triple, both excellent. the only regret was that it was not possible to taste the beaten calf lung as wet as exhausted. I did not give the fifth star for the simple reason that although the location is very beautiful and the quality is definitely good, I think for my way of understanding currently a dinner, there is need less tastes and much less for the voice. If this doesn't bother you, the rest is very good.

The trattoria certainly does not need my positive review, but if after 40 years I am still amazed at the quality of the simple and traditional dishes, both for the fast and courteous service, then it deserves another recognition. Long life in julia.
