Bidrage med feedbackThe place is really lovely and the staff is friendly. The fixed price menu is cheaper than a la carte menu and the pizza is well made (not Neapolitan style and without real mozzarella, but its taste is extremely good), Mussel 's dish are really huge...and the dessert is delicious. 30 Eur in person in the media.
The service was great and the staff welcomed young child- can come over other costumes that don't like to eat children, but the staff can't be beaten. Menu offers an excellent choice. The portions were excellent and the food was great. Would both recommend and return.
We went to this restaurant and waited for space. We noticed that the place was half full for lunch and sat close to the entrance of this British couple waiting for their order. While we waited to be served three times, we have... one of the male waiters almost in us trying to get us (almost half) with dirty dishes (pardon, pardon), no matter where we were standing. Some times have been seen that this British couple try to pay attention to the older female waiters and every time they ignore them and went on to order from other tables, all French, and by the appearance of it locally. We waited for about 3-5 minutes and no one else had set us, as my husband as they were, if we could eat. She saw that it was the two of us and our little one. She showed us a small two-seater right in front of the kitchen without putting the stroller or a high chair, unless he came in the way. So my husband pointed to our little one and tried to explain in broken French, we could have a bigger table. She then pointed to another little two-seater, then it would have been right again. When we didn't move towards the table, she muted something that got several raised eyebrows of mozens in the restaurant. There were many larger tables out of the way to sit for us, but instead of sitting ourselves, it was in this phase that we went out of the restaurant. The other British couple had to be served. Later we discovered by a very nice German woman who runs a clothing store on the beach that Villa de Luc is famous for bad service. My suggestion, if you are British, there are other places to eat than this place with more pleasant service. Try the Gulf Bistro.
Decided to eat where all the french people were and was not disappointed Three course menu with seafood starter steak and then normandy apple pie was 29 euros which with a half litre of beer at 5.80 was enough for a days replenishment after a...hard day sight sseeing
Entrance and sitdown was ok. after ordering drinks and food things went wrong. Redvine was served cooled. They forgot the ordered water and glasses. After appetizers the table was quickly overhelmed. The service removed empty plates just to make enough room for the next dishes....after serveral passes and lineups on my behalf to make it more obvious. I was forced to adke them to cleanup. and they only took out half. pretty funny it had been a comedy. Finally we wanted to pay and had to ask for the bill twice. The food is ok, but it is a pizza house doing other stuff. The only thing suprised us positively was a above average crepe. so if you do go for the funny fawlty towers experience, chose the crepe ;
