Dirk’s Signature Chicken - Lubbock

Trash attitudes! Twice denied orders to go with second time speaking to management. Every person was rude and refused to take the to go order. Even tried to split To go orders but the manager refused. Despite us telling them it was a veteran focused group and wanted to have a local eatery, they literally just hung up and the management would not provide any remedy…I’ve eaten there and the food was good but it’s not that good to be treated like dirt at dorks or dorks rather.

Called ahead and was told there was no wait. They took our name down anyway. We showed up 10 minutes later to a completely full restaurant and a full waiting area. We were told we would receive the next open table. Waited 45 minutes and could see 3 open table. We checked with the hostess only to be told the manager said she’s not allowed to seat anyone. Never even got to try the food. So disappointing.

Best chicken in town! Great bar and drinks as well. The rotisserie chicken is amazing and the okra is hands down the best I’ve ever had.

GREAT place to get a delicious meal with friendly wait staff.

We had lunch with a customer here around noon on 12/20. We were warmly welcomed and immediately seated. The place is very creatively decorated with lots of cartoon art. The staff were kind and helpful. We all ordered the combination platter and chose different sides. I had the mashed potatoes with jalapeño bacon gravy and collard greens. The potatoes were smooth and buttery, and the gravy was outstanding. The collard greens were perfectly cooked and wonderfully seasoned. The chicken tenders and steak strips were both battered expertly with great flavor and cooked to perfection. Both were juicy and fork tender, and a knife was not necessary. I had the Korean and Nashville sauces to complement my meal. Both were delicious, but not necessary since the meat was so delightful without a sauce! Overall, we enjoyed a delicious meal and had a good time. Fair warning though: it was busy and quite loud during our lunch, so if you are hearing impaired and looking for a place to have a nice conversation over your meal, you might find yourself shouting at each other if you choose to eat here.
