I am going to guess that somebody purchased the Cracker Barrel chain and decided to begin with messing up the Lubbock store first. After having dined at this location for many years, our visit this evening was one to keep us away forever. Nothing worked, except the food quality, which remained very good. Our wait for the food was well over an hour with the waitress, who I suspect had been working there for at least 30 minutes, coming back more than five times with questions about the items we had ordered that were standard menu items with no special requests other than salad dressing on the side for one person. When the food arrived, one chicken and dumplings had magically transformed into southern fried chicken (which we were happy to get knowing what kind of wait would be in store for a correction). When the check arrived, it included an extra entree that was not discussed, not ordered, and did not exist. I did not wish to attempt to explain any of this to our very young and well-intentioned, but clueless, waitress. We paid the check, zeroed the tip, and felt lucky to get out of there. Not going back to this location. Might not go back to any CB location. I think that this was 100% bad management right from the top. Beware the new CB experience .
The atmosphere was so inviting! It was my first time here and I regret not coming earlier. It is a beautiful place with delicious food for an affordable price. Definitely recommend their Biscuit Beignets for Dessert!! Food: 5/5
Service is important. Our waitress was dry and seemed like she'd rather be somewhere else, but there. She did not return to our table to ask if the order was satisfactory or if we needed something else. At this point, she had only 3 tables when the first went when we arrived. I requested French toast from multicorn bread, As diabetics is a new twist for breakfast pleasant, but I was denied my request. I had to ask a Mgr. For a reason. He said it wasn't in her system to choose. I guess asking the kitchen for a simple change is not allowed. I ordered good eggs and rcvd fried hard. Because the waitress never came back, I didn't ask for corrected eggs and don't eat, so I ate at home as I had to start with it. We've never been so disappointed in this place. May I propose a menu option to better serve diabetics. The yogurt option is gone and there is nothing exciting for diabetics. Wait staff to ask if everything is satisfactory if you receive meals would be nice.
Never come back here. Not the same. It was terrible! Our breakfast has been overcooked and no taste, quantity of food has not been properly portioned, so cheating on food. Pancakes were burned, ham was hard and boiled. The waitress never came back to refills on drinks. Waiting staff were not well trained and were not friendly at all. Fake customer service and management came out and looked like he was tired to say that he was sorry. You haven't even complicated the mistakes. This place goes downhill. I will certainly let people know so that they do not experience this terrible situation as we do.
