Tatler Wines Vineyard - LOVEDALE

Came here for Lunch, was greeted by a wonderfully welcoming lady who turned a delicious meal into an absolute delight.

Lovely lunch and perfect setting. Perfect relaxing day in the hunter. My favourite dish was the sizzling prawns and the chorizo sausage rolls.

We visited for a weekday lunch and we were so impressed I will be returning with my husband. The selection of tapas was amazing! All of the produce was so fresh and the flavour combinations were stunning! We were greeted so warmly and the service to follow matched our warm greeting! Thank you to all the Tatler staff. Impressive.

After reading recent reviews we were cautious but having been a regular enjoying their tapas we hoped it was a once off. On arrival I confirmed the chef is new. Sadly the meatballs were bland and the sauce unsavoury. The pork skewers were tough. The goats cheese tarts were reasonable. It was a Sunday lunch with two new waitresses so service was slow with the chef seen doing several meal deliveries to tables. We gave up trying to order additional tapas as noone would make eye contact or acknowledge us even when I waved the menu in the air. We failed to get any response when we told staff we were leaving and going elsewhere to finish our lunch because they were too busy to serve us. Spoilt a nice day and I hope they sort out these issues rather than see a good restaurant go down the plughole.
