Bidrage med feedbackTrouble Bar is a hidden gem Women owned, great low key, laid back/relaxed, fun bar with great comfy seating (both indoor and outdoor). Great place to try some of Kentucky's best spirits including their own Trouble Bar Private Barrel Peerless Rye. We tried two of their flight offerings The Aficionado and Modern Marvels and each one was unique. Lots of single pour, classic seasonal cocktails, beer and wine plus non alcohol (you MUST try the Chateau Trouble Eau) selections as well. Staff are super friendly, knowledgeable and happy to make recommendations. Worth a visit especially if you're looking for a relaxed space to spend some time with good company and good spirits.
Drink was decent but did not like the vibe of this bar. Politics aside, the abortion wall is not something I or my group wanted to look at while sipping a cocktail. We all found it quite tasteless and wish we had gone elsewhere but unfortunately did not see it until we had already ordered. I’m not surprised it was dead on a Friday night.
Really fun bar, bartenders were excellent. The bourbon flights are a neat idea even if I’m not sure I ended up any more knowledgeable about bourbon afterwards. Really appreciate the inclusive vibe.
After reading the reviews and menu, I went out of my way to visit Trouble on my only night in Louisville--and it was so so so worth the extra Uber. I loved the cozy, friendly vibes immediately--both in the interior design and in how excited the bartender was when she found out it was my first time at Trouble! I think she said her name was Nubia. I wish I would have clarified because she was absolutely wonderful--super warm and welcoming, knowledgeable, made great drinks, genuinely fantastic energy. I loved chatting with her! I didn 't really interact with the other bartender but they seemed great too. I had a Storyteller V.X (vanilla infused bourbon, passionfruit liqueur, dragonfruit, lemon juice, poblano liqueur, $12) which was just the right amount of sweet with a little kick to it from the poblano. I only planned on having one, but the menu was just too intriguing. Second drink was the Pink Razr Flip Phone (gin, blood orange syrup, lychee, served with a full split of prosecco! $11) which Nubia said was like a riff on a French 75. Also wonderful, very balanced. Their whole cocktail menu looks inspired and interesting yet very approachable. I have got to try the Total Request Live (vanilla vodka, chocolate lavender syrup, mocha latte cold brew) before they change the seasonal cocktails!! Prices were extremely reasonable, cocktails range from $8 (house old fashioned) to $15 (platinum old fashioned), most around $11-$12. PBR tallboy and a shot of Evan Williams for $5. They have a lot of non-alcoholic options (just one seasonal mocktail on the menu, but don 't let that dissuade you) including a really cheap sober tab . Also--looks like they have a fantastic range of spirit flights. Not just bourbon or whiskey!! It 's a lot of alcohol so I passed, but definitely something I 'll try when I come back. Very importantly--Trouble was an inclusive, welcoming space where I felt super comfortable as a single woman. They have this on their menu: Team Trouble would like to take this moment to remember that women, femmes, and non-binary folks do not exist to entertain anyone and no one is entitled to their space. Please do not approach anyone in this bar without their explicit consent. Should you feel uncomfortable with another patron 's behavior and do not feel comfortable addressing it directly, please let us know immediately. AMEN!!!
Our group tried every cocktail and loved them all. The bartenders we friendly and the atmosphere was very welcoming.
