Against The Grain Brewery

This looks like it would be very busy later in the day. If we hadn't been there at 11:30am would have tried their beer. The food was good and plentiful. Try the pork belly with molasses and garlic parmesean fries. Both worth the wait.

The wings were served hot and crispy. The beer selection is diverse and the bourbon ale was hearty.

Located attached to the Louisville Bats stadium with a huge outdoor patio. Bar area is fairly large but the bar is pretty small. I sat at the bar as the place was pretty empty on a Saturday evening in June. The beer was the best part, as the menu items sounded awesome, they were lack luster at best. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich which had 3 sentences of description that included all the restaurant buzz terms such as “aioli”. When it came out it was just just a dry chicken breast with barely any “aioli” on a bun. The Parmesan fires were ok, kinda soggy and oily, but the ones that weren’t were good. The beer was fantastic, food was ok at best, standard bar food with fancy descriptions.

If it's a day without a game, there's nothing special about it. It seems that the evaluation is very disappointing due to the expectations of the rating.

I'm a big craft brewery guy, being a craft brewer myself. Love there product. Food is great too.
