El Nopal Mexican - Louisville

El Nopal consistently offers fresh and flavorful dishes, and it doesn't let you down with its quick service and generous portion sizes. However, our recent visit wasn't as satisfying as previous ones; the queso was a bit bland and had a gummy texture rather than the expected gooeyness. My margarita was also not very well balanced. On a positive note, the rest of our meal was served piping hot and was absolutely delicious! I always enjoy the fajitas here!

The service was absolutely fantastic, and the food was really delicious! I appreciate how they provide two varieties of salsa with the tortilla chips.

If you're craving Mexican food but want to avoid a long wait, El Nopal is the place to go. During our dinner tonight, we experienced quick and accurate service, along with an attentive and friendly server. My family highly recommends the queso and chips. Our youngest devoured his cheeseburger while my 12-year-old stuck with the classic ala carte cheese quesadilla. My husband and I opted for the combo, which included a taco, burrito, and enchilada. I particularly enjoyed my hard shell chicken taco, but I wasn't a fan of the red sauce drizzled over the other items. Next time, I think I’ll choose the $2 upcharge for queso topping instead of the smoky tomato sauce. El Nopal also offers various coupons in local magazines and mailers, making it a great option for groups.

Not my favorite Mexican food but the servers are nice! And the atmosphere is very relaxed. Enjoyed there taquitos but wish they didn't have pepper in them. The queso is yummy. And the chips and salsa are good!

Came here on a Friday at lunch time. We were seated immediately. Our server came to table and quickly brought out drinks. (Water folks, no yummy pics of Margaritas...work day! They have daily lunch and drinks specials! Friday specials were lunch combo stuffed pepper with beans and rice or burrito with beans and rice. Drink special is the split margarita and daiquiri. Looks yummy, but no drinking on a work day. We both ordered off the lunch menu. What a great value!! My dad ordered the lunch chicken fajitas. They came out with three plates for him! Meat and grilled veggies, toppings lettuce, sour cream and guacamole, and plenty of tortillas! So much food and what a great value!! I ordered the tortilla soup. This soup has pico, rice, chicken, and avocado. This serving is huge and comes with tortilla strips. Our lunch came our super quick and it was very cheap for us to eat and the amount of food you get for the money, is awesome!!
