Butchertown Grocery Bakery - Louisville

This was definitely the best spot we visited in Louisville—so much so that we ended up going there twice! The bourbon caramel paired with the cold brew was fantastic. We'll be on the lookout for breakfast sandwiches that taste as amazing as theirs. We also tried a couple of pastries, and they were both scrumptious. The shop has a really nice vibe, making it a great place to relax and maybe even pick up some bourbon.

Food was typical for a breakfast place, nothing special. We had a large party, we make a point to order one at a time, and order clearly. The cashier was EXTREMELY rude. She kept repeating be quiet you are all talking at once which we were not. She looked overwhelmed but honestly I didn't buy it. And the individuals working behind as well were very rude and snobby. If you are not capable of taking several orders with a smile on your face then don't open a restaurant. I know people have bad days but don't make it ruin the day of your customers.

When you're in Louisville, make sure to stop by this place and try all the pastries and coffee. It's an excellent spot for a quick breakfast. We loved the ham croissant, apple butter cruffin, biscuit sandwich, and the coffee. You won't be disappointed!

Wow! I tried a cinnamon danish pastry (I can't remember the exact name) and it was incredible. It was perfectly flaky and buttery, just the way it should be. The frosting was just the right amount—not overwhelming at all. I also had a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit, and it was the best I've ever had!

A little taste of Europe right in Louisville’s backyard! Extremely cute aesthetic. I live for a gorg atmosphere. We got 3 croissants: mocha, chocolate, almond. The almond croissant was my favorite, the mocha had way too much filling and the chocolate didn’t have enough— would’ve absolutely preferred the chocolate to have more filling lol. It is pricey, we were going to get a few breakfast sandwiches but didn’t expect the price tag that was on it, $10 for a sausage biscuit in Louisville. Being from Atlanta, it’s expected, but Louisville shocked me lol. All in all, super cute place, friendly staff, yummy croissants!
