I came here on a date and we decided to sit on the patio. It was a bad first impression when we walked outside and had to awkwardly stand around while they tried to find another chair so we could both sit down. Once we sat I noticed my silverware and cup were dirty. We were given water within a few minutes, but waited about 15 more minutes for our waiter to come take a drink order. It started to rain a bit, obviously not blaming the restaurant for this, but the staff showed no interest in helping people feel comfortable. We sat in the rain while I saw an older woman at another table with her friends trying to drag an outdoor umbrella to their table while the staff walked around. We grabbed our drinks and went inside where we awkwardly stood for about 5 minutes to be acknowledged and reseated. The whole experience was uncomfortable and the staff was unprofessional. For such an expensive restaurant I wouldn’t expect the staff to be wearing tennis skirts and dirty shoes. After ordering a bottle of wine priced at over twice its actual value and two appetizers my date felt uncomfortable and didn’t want to get entrees so we went to another restaurant. Service was so slow that someone had to walk inside to the bar from the patio to order more wine. The waiter brought our bill and took payment without saying a word to either of us or saying anything as we walked out the door. It appeared everyone in the restaurant was getting equally apathetic service, but at least the appetizers tasted good.
