Bidrage med feedbackThe last time I visited Versailles restaurant was in the early 90s. After my last visit, I wonder why it's been so long. The food was really good. The garlic chicken was tasty but slightly dry. The raw white vinegar onions are a delicious addition. The Ropa Vieja (shredded beef) was awesome and very tasty, especially the bay leaf and tomatoes. I don't know which we liked more the Moros Y Cristianos (black beans and rice together) or the black beans and white rice separate. Either way, they're a great addition. The service was prompt, therefore, 5 stars for service. But it felt like the servers were always rushing. Thus, it wasn't as relaxed as it could have been. This leads to the 4 stars for the atmosphere. BTW, parking hasn't changed. It's still very limited. We will be back before another 20+ years pass. Perhaps even in the next month because I'm still thinking about the Ropa Vieja, even a couple of days since our visit.
I came for dinner with some of my girlfriends and this was my first time here. I hadn’t had Cuban food in a long time so this was a nice treat. I ordered the shrimp with garlic sauce and it was good, but a smaller portion that I had anticipated. It came with plantains which were very sweet and delicious. I wish there had been some kind of music as it was really quiet there and pretty empty for a week night. The service was also a bit slower than I normally like and it took awhile for them to take our order and bring the check. Small parking lot in front, but plenty of street parking. I’d come back and try again.
Omg the food was amazing! I had the lechon and the best I ever had. Only bad part is the white rice might be refrigerated and not fresh because it was serves to us really cold. We sent it back and they microwaved it. Aside from that everything was amazing. Ropa Vieja, an the roasted chicken also amazing. Definitely recommend checking this place out
We were excited to come here and we enjoyed the chicken empanadas and the green plantains. We also got the fried yucca which was delicious and so different from French fries. The texture is chewy and still crunchy. It's wonderful. We also got the black bean soup which was very tasty but lukewarm with no sour cream or onions. The Oxtail dish sas a disappointment as it also was like warm and we returned it. Finally I got the Cuban sandwich which was outstanding. Gooey swiss cheese with both pork and ham inside a chewy roll and pressed down to perfection. Yeah it was good. The fries that came with it were eh.
Long time favorite spot for a Cubano sandwich. Other good choices are the Lechon Asada and the Arroz con Pollo. Fast friendly service and reasonable prices.
