Nanay Gloria's Filipino - Los Angeles

The food here is consistently exceptional; everything is delicious, packed with flavor, and perfectly seasoned. I adore the dishes and make it a point to visit a few times a week. This is definitely my favorite Filipino restaurant!!! Food: 5/5

We were in the area and thought we’d drop by the famous NANAY Gloria, which seems to have been around since forever! We ordered two combos along with two Turons, and I really enjoyed the fried bananas. We also tried the salmon sinigang; while the salmon was a bit too fishy for my taste, the soup felt like a warm hug. I loved the longganisa and pancit. The beef tec was a bit on the salty side, and the pork menudo was just okay. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was nice for a Saturday evening. This place is a great spot for families, offering a variety of options and a cafeteria-style seating arrangement. The food brought back memories of my younger days.

The restaurant was quite unappealing, and the prices for the food were excessive. The woman at the checkout was unpleasant and seemed very miserly. The quality of the meat was poor and fatty, while the sinigang was overly oily and had an off taste. The daing na bangus was not cooked properly, as it was just roasted instead of being prepared the right way. We ended up wasting $28 on poorly cooked food and have no plans to return. Overall, the staff was very unfriendly as well!

For years I had a full-time cook in our house and paid no salary. After work, I and my family come here and eat fresh local meals and hot soup. I like their fresh vegetable roll, Tamarinde salmon soup, beef soup, try every meat (bef, chicken, goats), seafood dishes and many vegetable dishes. So vegetarians can eat here. They also sell Filipino made desserts, it really feels like I'm sweet at home in my house as I never leave the Philippines. This place has very good food. I'd say the best. People only write their bad experience once, but they never emphasize the many times they were satisfied with the food and service here. You should try it yourself.

Whenever we visit Los Angeles, we have breakfast here. The food reminds me of home in the Philippines. We bought food here to take with us on our way to Malibu. Everyone here were very friendly. Highly recommend.Food: 5/5
