Mori Sushi - Los Angeles

Absolutely fantastic! I can't think of any other words to describe it. After my trip to Japan, it's rare to find a place as authentic as Mori. It was such a cozy and delightful experience!

Honestly for 250 a person, I expected way more than what I had.First of all, chef was not up front with the price. Everywhere I see is max 160 a person but he just assumed and give us the “premium menu” which I didn’t felt was that premium bare in mind I am not talking out of my a as I have tried multiple Michelin restaurant) this is the worst I’ve been toSecond, some fish was very chewy and quality did not meet expectations. Appetizers were okay .Third, the property was very ratchet for a Michelin 250 price point. Windows and doors were all boarded up in the middle of nowhere. In addition the inside of the restaurant smell sour and old. What ambience am I even paying for… better off at providence or something…We were literally the only guests with no server or anything, it was so awkward I just wanted this dinner to end…I highly do not recommend :,

We dined at a Michelin 1-star sushi restaurant and it was a fantastic experience worth trying. We opted for the Premium Omakase with Private Dinner Service, priced at $280 per person, which was the only dining option available due to COVID restrictions. As you can see from the photos, every dish was exquisite! The fish was incredibly fresh, the rice was perfectly cooked, and the flavors were on point. The private dining experience was intimate, with only two parties (fewer than eight people) allowed each night. On the evening of our visit, there were just the two of us and three other guests. We had the pleasure of sitting at the sushi bar, allowing us to watch Chef Maru skillfully prepare our meal right in front of us. The service was exceptional—thoughtful and attentive without being intrusive. It's worth noting that the Premium Omakase is pricier than many other Michelin 1-star restaurants, comparable to what you'd expect at a 2-star establishment.

Completely hole in the wall gem of a restaurant. Will definitely return for fine sushi dining.

A delightful combination of gourmet flavors. I appreciate the high quality and attention to detail, and the location is very convenient. It's a relaxed, classy spot that serves delicious food.
