Bidrage med feedbackThis restaurant offers some of the most beautiful Mexican dishes in Los Angeles, which is surprising given that the city doesn't have many standout options for Mexican food besides tacos and food trucks. It’s refreshing to discover a sit-down Mexican restaurant where the food is genuinely good. Make sure to try the chicharrón tacos, cochinita pibil sopes, green enchiladas, and especially the guacamole—everything is delicious. I don't drink much, but my friend can’t stop raving about her aguas frescas, particularly the cucumber flavor. As for me, I'll stick with a Diet Coke, haha. The dishes are tasty, though not quite as good as those at Guelagetza, which is understandable. The restaurant has a nice airy atmosphere, with limited parking in the back but decent street parking available. The service is friendly (and they’ll speak to you in Spanish if you prefer), but it can be a bit slow. Be prepared to wait a little longer for your food, but it’s definitely worth it.
For dessert, we shared three varieties of flan: coffee, pistachio, and pine nut. My favorites were the pistachio flan, which was reminiscent of a rich pistachio ice cream combined with flan, and the pine nut flan, similar to a classic flan but with a delicious pine nut crust. I can't wait to try everything else on their menu!
I ordered nachos, and they were quite good. I was satisfied, though not overly impressed; it was just what I needed for some comfort food. I appreciate the variety of vegetarian options they offer here. I found the food to be more authentic than other Mexican places I've tried, which was a pleasant surprise. However, I noticed many reviews pointed out issues with their Grubhub delivery, and I experienced some difficulties myself. I probably won't order online again, but I plan to get takeout soon!
